Cheer Begins

As many of you know Jamie made the Sapulpa Junior High Cheerleader Squad. We are very proud of her. She has been working very hard to try to earn money for the squad and for camp. I am not sure what I would do with out Nick. He makes life interesting and a whole lot simpler. I thank him for always being involved. These pictures were taken on May 17 at our first cheer fundraiser event. It went very well.

A little Dinner

After a day in the sun we went to Bellacino's Pizza & Grinders. The pizza is great and we all had a good appetite. The kids were enjoying it.

Fun in the Sun

Fun in the Sun

On Thursday May 22 Kara and the kids flew in from Alaska. We were so excited to see her and are tying to spend as much time with her as we can. She is going to be here awhile and is getting a taste of our running around. She is attending as much of our activities as she can. We took Saturday May 24 and went to Heather and Pat's to use there pool. We had a wonderful time. The kids acted like they were at an amusement park. They were as happy as larks. Everyone joined in with the fun. Please enjoy the pictures of our Day in the Sun!! And a huge thanks to Heather and Pat for allow us to come swim.

Must Read

There are few books that reach out and grab you. The book that I am about to talk about just did that. Talk about leaving an impression. It takes things that seem way out of our grasp and puts it in terms that we can understand. This is no just happy go lucky book, but it is very meaningful and full of passion. I read many books and there are very few that I can honestly say have change me. For that fact there are few I would say that have made me a better person for having read it. I realize that saying that is a bold statement, and believe me that I would not profess that to you all unless I truly believed it. Weather the book happened exactly the way the author stated or not is irrelevant. It is perfectly clear that God gave this man a message to share. This is one of those books that I would love to have extra copies to be able to pass out. Maybe I will get together with a group and we can really break it up. There is much in the book that I want to go back and reread, highlight, and study. I will read this again; I do not want to forget! Most of the books I read do not have much of a purpose, but this books purpose seems to be thunderous to me. It is not just the context; I feel I need to share. Please take the time to read the book. It is a short read with a lot of power. After you read please take the time to let me know what you think. I want to recognize and hear your point of views. Ok the book is…………………………………
The Shack
by William P. Young (Author)

I want to add by thanking Heather for the push to read it. It was as if you knew exactly what I needed. This book hit the spot. I look forward to many more conversations over this book and many more.

Sliding Around

On May 18 we had the Wacky Olympics at the church. The youth played all kinds of different games. One of the things the loved was they slide on a huge tarp that had dishwashing soap on it. I am not sure if it was the bubbles or the fact that were just getting wet. Who knows... It was a lot of fun to watch them. We did not try it but were tempted.

My Man

As many of you know my husband does not get near enough sleep. This day was no different. He had made up his mind that he would be at the Wacky Olympics and there he was. He loves to attend youth functions. It is our other home. We are blessed with some great kids. Nick was there, and no I was not there when he dressed. You think I would have let him leave like that? I am so proud!

Triple J Brashear Girls

We are living in a fast paced world. Time is flying by and I find myself barley able to stop and smell the flowers. The girls are growing much faster then I would like. I created this so that maybe all of you could enjoy them growing as much as I am. As most of you know I love to take pictures, and this will give me a chance to share. I am in hope to go back and post many of the old ones we have. I look forward to hearing from you all. The girls love to hear comments.

Grad

On May 9th Caylin successfully graduated from University of Houston. We could not be prouder of him. I was glad that the girls were there to see him walk over the stage. I think there day is coming much faster then I am ready for it to come.
